Katie Rempe: Hey there, magical makers. Welcome back to Knit A Spell. As always, I'm your host, Katie Rempe, and this is the last episode of the season, but it's also a little bit more.
If you've been following along this season, you know I've been doing a deep dive into the theme of adaptation, and I have a big update to share with you that aligns with this theme in a pretty major way.
A Pause for Publishing!
---
Katie Rempe: After more than 150 episodes recorded over the course of four years, I'm pressing pause on Knit Spell.
Now. Don't worry, this isn't goodbye.
It's simply a shift, a new chapter.
And a chance to create something I've been dreaming about for a long time while producing this show: I'm finally writing a book!
A book inspired by the very themes we've explored here .
About magic knitting yarn.
And how the things that we create with our hands can shape our energy, our lives, and our stories.
And just like any big creative project, writing this book requires space, time, and focus. So for now, the podcast is going on hiatus so I can fully pour myself into this next magical step.
Now, what does that mean for you, loyal listener, and watcher? Well, first, Knit A Spell isn't going anywhere.
All the episodes you know and love will still be available for you to listen where you get your podcasts and watch right here on YouTube.
So if you've missed a few episodes or wanna go back and re-listen to some of your favorites, now is a great time to do it.
And of course, share them with your friends.
Word of mouth has always been the most magical way that this podcast has grown.
More Online Classes Coming!
---
Katie Rempe: And while this podcast is on pause, I'll be expanding on many of the ideas that we've talked about in new ways.
I'm currently working on a series of new online classes that explore knitting and magic more in depth.
Everything from color magic to sigil knitting to energetic intention setting. These classes will give us a chance to go deeper on the topics that we've only just begun to scratch the surface of in the podcast.
Stay Connected
---
Katie Rempe: So I encourage you to stay connected with me by, signing up for my newsletter at lightfromlantern.com/newsletter. You also get a free pattern just for signing up. Follow me on Instagram @LightFromLantern. If you're only following me on Knit A Spell it's a great way to follow the main feed.
And of course here on YouTube, I'll continue to be posting videos about how to make your crafting more magical, including one about my hex cloth pattern, which is finally available.
Gratitude
---
Katie Rempe: Now I wanna take a moment and say a very heartfelt thank you. To everyone who has listened, shared, commented, supported, and believed in this podcast. Thank you.
Whether you've been here since day one, or just recently discovered the show, I'm so grateful to have been part of your creative and magical journey.
To all of the amazing guests that I have had the honor of interviewing, thank you for sharing your wisdom and your stories.
And of course, I wanna give one very special shout out to James Divine, my original co-host, my dear friend, and one of the most talented palmists I know. Without Jim, Knit A Spell would never have existed.
His support, humor, and perspective on magic shaped the foundation of this podcast. And I'm forever grateful for all the time we spent co-creating this show together.
And thank you to all my Knit A Spell patrons who have supported me along the way.
You can enjoy all of May without being charged, and to anyone who's seeing this afterwards and wondering what happened to all the after shows, not to worry. I'm looking at a way to repackage all of these awesome extras to be available even after Patreon goes away.
And to every knitter, crochet, weaver, spinner, and magical soul. You are the reason this show exists.
And even though we're hitting pause, the magic continues.
So here we are at a beautiful turning point.
One project is pausing to allow another one to begin.
This isn't the end. It's an evolution, like turning yarn into a sweater.
And I hope you'll all stay connected along the way.
So make sure you subscribe to my newsletter, follow me on social media, and subscribe right here on YouTube. Until next time, merry make.
